November 7 - 9, 2006 Workshop
A meeting was held in Washington DC at the University of California Center on Regulatory Communication. The results of that meeting are posted here. The workshop centered on communication and discussion of the regulatory process as it applies to microbial pesticides, genetically engineered microbials, transgenic insects, and transgenesis - paratransgenesis. Presentations included:- The risk management process and regulatory requirements for the regulated microbials and insects by the appropriate regulatory agencies.
- Actual field experimentation experiences with discussion of impacts of regulatory requirements on experimental design, data collection and problem solving in pest control.
